ALL started when his friend’s mother was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer in September 2010.
Doctor who treated the lady confirms she can only live for three more months.
She was introduced to the Sabah Snake Grass and consumed it every day until today.
Based on the report of the National Cancer Council (MAKNA), 11 million adults and children with cancer in worldwide and 6 million of them died of cancer.
In Malaysia, about 45,000 Malaysians were reported suffering from cancer each year. Statistics show that three out of four cancer patients could not be saved or recovered.
The lady’s miracle encourages Hazmi Haron (Executive Director of You Dun Chao Herbs Farm Sdn Bhd) to modernize Sabah Snake Grass functions to give hopes to thousands of chronic patients in the country.
“Sabah Snake Grass has long been identified as having high antioxidant for maintaining healthy cells in the human body.”
“People who have health problems such as cancer, kidney problem, prostate inflammation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, high uric acid, diabetes and gastric can benefit from Sabah Snake Grass,” he said when met at Seremban recently.
Hazmi attracts attention, despite the advantages of Sabah Snake Grass has long been known by the public, it still has its disadvantages.
He said that leaves only sold in raw form, but cancer patients should consume at least 100 pieces a day non-stop in the fight against cancer cells.
“It is difficult, especially among those who do not eat vegetables and side dishes made from these leaves are hard to find,” he said.
Following that, he said, the company has produced Sabah Snake Grass extracts that is convenient to consume.
There are four types of products, fresh leaves, powder with mix flavors, capsules and tea bags.
“To manufacture the products, we rent a farm (15 acres) which situated at Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan from Felda Settler.“
“This farm is a model herb farm cluster under National Key Economic Areas (NKEAs) and we are the entrepreneurs under the guidance of Jabatan Pertanian Negeri Sembilan,” he said.
According to Hazmi, Sabah Snake Grass was planted in January this year and the first harvest was done in March with each acre producing approximately 1 ton of leaves.
He said, harvested leaves will be sent to the factory of TPM Bio-Tech in Raub, Pahang to extract and produce final products.
“The leaves are washed before drying with heater and boiling. Liquid is then extracted into a powder,” he said.
At this time, UTURN powder products are mixture of green apple and lemon flavors without chemicals. It does not use sugar but Fructus weighing 20 grams for each bag.
The supplements are manufactured with adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) approved by the Ministry of Health.
Hazmi said, at present, the company produces about 2,000 boxes of UTURN product a week which are distributed to more than 2,500 outlets in the Klang Valley.
“We plan to produce 4,000 boxes a week once the production capacity increases”, he added.
UTURN product was launched by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Datuk Seri Noh Omar during Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro Tourism Malaysia Negeri Sembilan (NS MAHA 2012) at Seremban in July.
